Getting ready to start a study of Revelation! Anybody for a blessing…” Blessed is he that readeth , and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein ; for the time is at hand.“ Rev. 1:3. I was in a group study several years ago, we were into our third year of the study, about 3/4 of the way through the book, when the powers that be, decided we had studied long enough! That being said, I am gathering some materials together looking for an outline to get started and do the study again from the beginning.
I discovered about 3 months into the study what the blessing was: a heart for the lost, un-loved and hurting all around us, it is the Lord’s heart for all mankind…”not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.” 2 Pet 3:9
Anyways, that’s what I’m thinking. If you have any ideas or thoughts on how we could do this study let me know!
the more i’ve thought about the study, the more i’ve realized that it is such an answer to prayer. Given my schedule (being home in the evenings with Hailee) I don’t get to go to the many bible studies like 200 yds from my house @ U-turn. I’m an ‘always doing something’ person, so being able to do bible studies with people while still being at home would be great. I’m excited
That is great! I have an ‘outline’ idea for the study. I’m trying to figure out how to make this program work easily for all of us. As you can see the ‘threads’ don’t really track too good here. I ‘replied’ to the comments made on the “Judging” post I made, but I don’t think you or the other commentors got an email or notification that I did. Way encouraged to get the study going…thanks :)
I like the weekly topic (or longer) idea.
I would love a study on revelation. Also, i’ve got like a dozen books on the end times, eschatology (spelling?), and all that stuff. Have not actually read them, but would be neat to use as reference. Also, I have like a 7 disc set of our pastor doing the whole book of revelation that i haven’t listened to. I am all for a study on it. Count me in. Plus, Leilani, i’m interested on your input on stuff i’ve ‘glanced over’ in Revelation :o)

Maybe…. announce each weekly topic in advance,
then Saturday morning start a forum discussion on the topic to run all week until the next topic starts??
Or forever I guess, since its an online forum that topic could always be added to.
