UPDATE – April 4th 2015
Three years ago me and Leilani were excited to realize that Passover was on Saturday and Christians would be celebrating Easter the Sunday following. Now, only 3 years and it happens again, huh! We sat here this morning trying to find a new study to get us back into the word and decided, why not revisit this “this day in history” Counting Pentecost blog series and see if we learn anything new.
In 2012 when I wrote this post we had just moved into our RV fulltime and were sitting in the middle of nowhere in the Mojave Desert experiencing an awesomely dark night sky, then the Passover moon came and lit up the desert like daytime.
Now in 2015 we are still living in our camper but find ourselves sitting in a forest in the middle of nowhere, Alabama with tall trees all around, the full moon didn’t really light it up that much.

14 Abib 1313 BC
Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, “Rise, go out from among my people, both you and the children of Israel. And go, serve the Lord as you have said.
Also take your flocks and your herds, as you have said, and be gone; and bless me also.”
And the Egyptians urged the people, that they might send them out of the land in haste. For they said, “We shall all be dead.”
So the people took their dough before it was leavened, having their kneading bowls bound up in their clothes on their shoulders.
Now the children of Israel had done according to the word of Moses, and they had asked from the Egyptians articles of silver, articles of gold, and clothing.
And the Lord had given the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they granted them what they requested. Thus they plundered the Egyptians. Exo 12:31-36And it came to pass, on that very same day, that the Lord brought the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt according to their armies. Exo 12:51
14 Abib/Nisan 31AD
Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land until the ninth hour.
And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
And some of them stood there, when they heard it, said, This man calleth Elijah.
And straightway one of them ran, and took a sponge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink.
And the rest said, Let be; let us see whether Elijah cometh to save him.
And Jesus cried again with a loud voice, and yielded up his spirit.
And behold, the veil of the temple was rent in two from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake; and the rocks were rent; Mat 27:45-51

The Passover Moon, all the better for God’s flock to make their great Exodus out of Egypt and for Temple soldiers, Chief Priests and elders running around in the garden of Gethsemane after supper.

the full moon tonight is called The Pascal Moon. Thank You FATHER for Creating it for us.
