Counting Pentecost ~ Day Three ~ The Lord Shall Ever be thy Guide

update April 10th 2018

Today is the 3rd day of the 1st week of seven weeks. Today is the 3rd day of the counting of fifty days from the day of the waving of the Omer on the morrow after the Sabbath.

UPDATE April 7th 2015

Honestly, I’m jealous, and I am afraid to admit it. I wonder if lots of believers aren’t envious of the disciples of Jesus, that were able to meet him, especially the 12. I image camping out with God, relaxing around the fire in the evenings, going fishing with Him, I can’t be the only one.
But, to have God leading you with a huge pillar of smoke? it seems like it would be so easy to KNOW that you were doing the right thing if you were following a pillar along with a huge group of others. Am I the only one that is constantly wondering if I am doing it right?

Now when Pharaoh had let the people go, God did not lead them by the way of the land of the Philistines, even though it was near; for God said, “The people might change their minds when they see war, and return to Egypt.” Hence God led the people around by the way of the wilderness to the Red Sea; and the sons of Israel went up in martial array from the land of Egypt. The LORD was going before them in a pillar of cloud by day to lead them on the way, and in a pillar of fire by night to give them light, that they might travel by day and by night. They baked the dough which they had brought out of Egypt into cakes of unleavened bread. For it had not become leavened, since they were driven out of Egypt and could not delay, nor had they prepared any provisions for themselves. Exo 12:39; 13:17-21

…and when the doors were shut where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews… John 20:19

God knows our weakness’ and fears, and just as He was with His children in the pillar of fire, He is there at that darkest of hours…He comes to bring His peace, encouragement and power

Jesus came and stood in their midst and *said to them, “Peace be with you.” So Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you; as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.”  And when He had said this, He breathed on them and *said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. John 20:19, 21-22
