I really love this old hymn. The words were written by Eliza E. Hewitt, the music by William Kirkpatrick and Henry Gilmour Philadelphia, Pennsylvania: Hall-Mack Company, 1898. Randy will have to check and see if there is a family connection…he has Hewitt ancestors.
