–Names are so often not given their due, especially today in the atmosphere of the catchy “sound bite”. Today there is a wide variety of rhetoric that is being bandied about regarding the war that Israel has been forced to fight. And my heart aches for the pain and suffering on both sides of this war.
My husband Randy found this chart a year or so ago for a Bible study we were doing, Find “The Way” through the Bible. So, while reading through all the news, opinions and articles, trying to wade through the rhetoric, I heard a young cafe worker* say something that struck me as at best, just half a thought. He was trying to keep a Jewish woman from entering a bathroom where antisemitic slogans had been scrawled, so she could document it. As the employees acquiesced and let her enter, he said, “History didn’t start in 1948, lady,”. That seems to be an odd argument against the Jews being in Israel, since Jewish history in the land of Israel started about 3,400 years ago. Which had me looking for the chart to help me with all the peoples that are involved in the horrific events that are happening today.
