The Heavens Declare…

No one, not even the most devoted atheist, denies that the Bible is the most influential book ever written. So, what is the most important verse in this most important book? Dennis Prager

We watched our first lecture at Prager University

“The Most Important verse in the Bible”

Dennis gives a short and to the point lecture on why he thinks Genesis 1:1 is the most important verse in the Bible. Here are some thoughts I came away with:

  • God is the Author of…Everything.
  • He created All of it–the world, the universe and everything in them.
  • It didn’t happen by itself!
  • God is above nature.
  • All other gods are “nature” gods.
  • The wind god, the rain god, the tree god, etc.
  • God is the creator of nature.
  • God is not in nature or of nature. He is above nature.

The heavens declare His righteousness, And all the peoples have seen His glory. Psalm 97:6

So what verse do you think is the most important verses in the Bible? Think about that and then watch the video, it may not change your mind but it certainly is a great foundation!
